Author Bio: About Maria Forrest
Maria Forrest earned a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, while expecting twins and after teaching hundreds of kindergarteners.
She authored three books under a previous name, Marie McClendon:
- Where are the Children? In a TV World or a Treehouse?
- Alternatives to TV Handbook
- The Healthy Lunchbox
An educator commented: “Maria’s best credential is raising four happy, resourceful children.” She admits to making more than her share of parenting mistakes.
On her most recent birthday, Maria hang-glided with white knuckles near Golden in the Colorado Rockies, stretching her comfort zone and living a dream out-loud, very loud.
From 2016-2017, Maria lived in a motorhome nick-named “Ladybug,” traveling the U. S. enjoying the one-of-a-kind feel of each place, touching base in Florida, New York, Montana, and Tucson. Her article, “Stop to Notice” on her travels is posted on her website here. Her remodeled Fairy Camper may be in your neighborhood soon.
